I would like to take a little bit of time to introduce myself and welcome you
to a different approach to capturing the memories of childhood and the
magical moments of time. I have seen some amazing moments and images through the lens,
artists, actors, poets, politicians, dancers, musicians, moms and dads and everything in between.
But the greatest thing that I have seen is the growth of our little boy. When I look at the
images of him as a baby, I am thankful that I was able to stop time for that instant so we can
hang on to that memory. For that reason alone, I am a photographer.
In January, 2010, I received my Photographic Craftsman degree from the Professional Photographers of America.
Along with this degree, I became a member of the American Society of Photographers.
Membership in the ASP is by invitation only. The Society maintains the highest level of excellence
refining technical competence while promoting education of the science and art of photography.
After becoming a member of the Professional Photographers of America in 2004,
I earned the Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) designation the very next year.
Obtaining the CPP credential is no easy task and can only be earned after meeting rigorous
requirements measuring artistic, technical, ethical and business competence.
In this day and age of digital, education is what separates the professional from the person who owns a camera.
Along my journey, I have studied with some of the elite of our photographic industry. As a result,
I have received awards for print competition and the PPSNYS State Award.
Now, it's my turn to pay it forward. I have been lucky enough to present educational
programs to professional photographers all around New York state, including Syracuse,
Rochester, Buffalo, Binghamton and Geneva in the Finger Lakes.
